Mission

Founded in 2009, the Emerging Workforce Initiative builds the capacity of communities, schools, and families to prepare all youth and young adults for the 21st century workforce.     Specifically, the Initiative works with partners to:

     1. Understand the systematic and personal issues that impede "opportunity youth"
     2. Identify effective strategies that address these issues
     3. Develop programs, tools, linkages, funding and other resources needed to implement these strategies

More information on the activities and approach of the Initiative...

The Emerging Workforce Initiative is a founding partner of the Coalition Supporting Young Adults, a collaboration of organizations and individuals committed to transforming the way our community assists vulnerable you and young adults. It is through this collective action  approach that the Initiative is able to understand the needs and develop innovative strategies that meet them.
